Norwegian Mapping Authoruty Kartverket has been implementing project in Moldova “Maps for Sustainable Development” with funding from Norway Ministry of External Affairs. One of the Component of the project is “Development of Geographical Names Register in Moldova”.
Kartverket is seeking a qualified Moldovan citizen to take over duties and responsibilities of the Project manager to supervise the development of Geographical Names Register in Moldova. The development will be done by a team consisted of employees of Agency Land Relations and Cadastre, S.E Ingeocad, Public Services Agency and other organizations.
Basic Functions: Main task will be managerial – planning, organizing, controlling and reporting to Norwegian Mapping Authority Kartverket.
Experience and skills: Experience with IT-projects is mandatory.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
University Diploma in related field;
Previous experience with Geographic Information Systems will be considered an advantage;
Prior experience working with donor-funded projects will be a strong advantage;
Demonstrated experience of successfully multi-tasking across projects and delivering results within tight deadlines.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills in English;
Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving. Goal-oriented, independent, committed, innovative and motivated.
Deliverables: • Up to 4 hours per day (based on necessity) • Monthly and final Reports
Period of performance: Part-time assignment from January to May 2022.
Place of performance: The project manager will perform his/her duties in Chisinau, Moldova.
Reporting instructions: The project manager will report to Norwegian Mapping Authority Kartverket (Mrs. Elena Busch, Project manager).
